Hi everyone, this is my first time posting. I tried for hours to find an existing answer so as to not duplicate things but alas, I give up. I have a 2012 macbook pro 15' and it is running a 500gb HDD with 8gb ram. I tried to use it to download a new OSX onto an external mounted SSD the other day for a friend's computer but it didn't work and when I rebooted my computer, it suddenly asked for a password even though I had it set with no password. The password hint says water star. When I try to reset it using my apple ID, the screen chops off the bottom half of the apple for a minute while the download bar appears below. When I type in my apple ID which I know is correct, it says it couldn't sign in because of a server error. I noticed that the time wasn't right and figured out how to change the time in terminal as I can't actually get into the normal system to change the date or time. I could not however figure out how to change the time zone from PST which it's set on now to AEST or australian eastern. Can anyone help me set my time zone in terminal and please be VERY specific and talk to me like I'm an idiot because when it comes to this stuff, I am. Thanks so much! daniel
